Tony Abbott’s broken promise not to touch Australians’ superannuation will rip away savings from nearly 1.8 million working people in Victoria.

 This is just the start of the vicious cuts to the bone Mr Abbott has in store for people everywhere in Victoria should he win government.

 Tony Abbott has said himself that he believes compulsory superannuation is a ‘con job’, so it is little wonder that he’s made this appalling commitment.

 Tony Abbott, like every Liberal in history, has never voted for an increase to the Super Guarantee, so the suggestion that he will do so in two years time is as deceptive as it is fanciful.

 So make no mistake: the Super Guarantee will never increase under an Abbott Government.

 Tony Abbott’s attack on the superannuation guarantee means that a 30 year old on average weekly earnings from Victoria will be $127,000 worse off when they retire.

 Victorians deserve so much better than these sorts of savage cuts from Tony Abbott.
