Labor condemns the disgraceful, senseless attack at a museum in Tunisia, in which 22 people have reportedly been killed. We are extremely concerned at reports an Australian may have been killed in this tragedy and we are seeking an urgent briefing from the Government.
Our thoughts are with the people of Tunisia, and the families and friends of those who have lost their lives.
This kind of terror has no place in our world and it emphasises the need for close international cooperation to defeat this menace.
We urge Australians in Tunisia, or those thinking of travelling to Tunisia, to follow the advice of our Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
