WISHING EVERYONE A HAPPY AND SAFE EASTER 

Chloe and I wish all Australians a happy and safe Easter this weekend. 

Whether it's relaxing with friends, heading away with family or trying to find that last Easter Egg in the bottom of the garden, all of us celebrate Easter in our own way. 

Whatever our faith, Easter is a wonderful time to spend time with the people we love – that’s what Chloe and I will be doing. 

But it’s important we recognise that not everyone gets to take time off this weekend. 

Our thoughts are with the men and women of the Australian Defence Force keeping us safe. 

Our police, firies, paramedics, doctors and nurses – and everyone who has to work this long weekend – we thank you. 

You are spending time away from your family and friends – and we are grateful.  I can assure you Labor will always fight for the penalty rates that you deserve. 

Happy Easter – please drive safely and enjoy a relaxing and safe weekend.
